Radian Account Manager Elected to Board of Directors
PHILADELPHIA, May 10, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Radian Guaranty Inc., the mortgage insurance (MI) subsidiary of Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN), announced today that Account Manager Michelle Weiss has been elected as a board director of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women (NAPMW) - Alaska.
With four regional chapters nationwide, the NAPMW serves to provide business, personal and leadership development among women in mortgage-related professions. In her board role, Ms. Weiss will be responsible for cultivating educational opportunities, driving membership and coordinating speaking engagements by industry professionals.
Ms. Weiss is currently responsible for managing Radian's relationships with customers in Alaska. With more than 20 years' experience in the financial services industry, she served most recently as a retail sales supervisor with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Earlier in her career, Ms. Weiss was a licensed Realtor and worked for the Bureau of the Census in Anchorage, Alaska.
A lifelong Alaskan, she is a member of the Alaska Mortgage Bankers Association and has pursued professional development in the areas of sales management and core sales skills.
