Radian Guaranty Expands Sales Force in Six Key Regions

Expansion Ensures Top-Notch Customer Service and Better Understanding of Local Market Dynamics

PHILADELPHIA, Dec 16, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Radian Guaranty Inc., the mortgage insurance (MI) subsidiary of Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN), today announced that it has expanded its sales force with the addition of six local account managers in key locations across the U.S.

"As the market begins to recover, we are seeing tremendous opportunities for MI in the marketplace," said Mike Dziuba, senior vice president of field sales at Radian. "As a result, Radian is continuing to grow its sales force in select territories throughout the country. We realize the importance of having a local sales presence and want our account managers to have a better understanding of our customers' needs - and the local market implications on those needs."

In the past three years, Radian has added 35 account managers in 25 U.S. regions - culminating in a sales force of 74 mortgage industry professionals.

The new account managers are:

  • Bridget Trevino, a MI veteran who has won numerous accolades, including President's Club and "Newcomer of the Year" recognition at her last position with another private mortgage insurer. Ms. Trevino will serve Radian's Houston, TX territory.
  • Jeff Petrocci, who joins Radian with 18 years' experience in MI and specialties in consultative sales, strategic business planning and new business development, among others. Mr. Petrocci was most recently a Retail Sales Manager with HSBC Mortgage Corporation. He will be based in the Syracuse, NY area and cover Radian's New York territory.
  • Sharon Gerritsen, who has worked in the mortgage sector for over two decades. A skilled leader, Ms. Gerritsen has expertise in business development and sales strategy. Most recently a Regional Sales Manager with Freedom Mortgage, she is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Ms. Gerritsen will be responsible for serving Radian's Pittsburgh, PA and West Virginia territories.
  • Randi Gocinski, who served as an Account Manager/Relationship Manager with Radian from 2002-2006. Ms. Gocinski has over 25 years' experience in the mortgage industry and extensive knowledge of loan origination, wholesale lending, processing and closing management. She served most recently as an Operations Manager and Trainer with the John Galt Mortgage Company. Ms. Gocinski currently sits on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women and will cover Radian's Southern Florida territory.
  • Karen Bascom, who rejoins Radian after serving as a Senior Account Executive with the company from 2001-2005. Ms. Bascom brings with her a strong background in planning and sales marketing, as well as budgeting and financial management. She served most recently as a Production Manager with Atlas Mortgage, Inc. and as an Account Executive with SunTrust Mortgage Company, where she covered the state of Alabama. Ms. Bascom is a member of the Alabama Mortgage Bankers Association and the Alabama Mortgage Brokers Association. She will be responsible for covering' Radian's Alabama territory.
  • Michele Allerton-Teague, a seasoned mortgage and real estate professional with 15 years' experience. Ms. Allerton-Teague joins Radian from CM Fox Real Estate, where she served as a licensed real estate broker in Albany, NY. Earlier in her career, she held various account management roles at another private mortgage insurer, CUC Mortgage and KeyCorp Mortgage. Ms. Allerton-Teague will be responsible for covering part of Radian's New York state territory.
